請問統計學題目的答案(p-value), 感恩!
A recent study was designed to compare smoking habits of young women with those of young men. A random sample of 150 women revealed that 45 smoked. A random sample of 100 men indicated that 25 smoked. At the 0.05 significance level does the evidence show that a higher proportion of women smoke? Compute the p-value. 希望好心的網友能夠教我怎麼算p-value
非常感恩~
The sample shows:P(Smoke | F) = 45/150= 0.3; P(Smoke | M) = 25/100= 0.25.A Z-statistic to test whether indeed the proportion of female smokers and male smokers in the population are the same is as follow:H0: the proportion of female smokers and male smokers are the same H1: the proportion of female smokers is higher than the male smokers Z = (0.3 - 0.25 ) /
